This happens to me a lot, or at least I think its the same thing as you. Ok usuallly mine is when I'm sitting or lying down and get up somewhat quick. Its like my vision goes away for a second, everything goes dark. When I was a senior in high school (98-99) I went to a doctor in Atlanta for it. I had a few tests run on me basically he said I wasn't eating right. It still happens to this day. I'm a picky eater and if I haven't eaten enough/right that day then it will start happening. Sometimes I will just get the shakes (if I haven't eaten right) and others I "black out" for that second or two. I have to make sure I eat some carbs(the good ones) and some kind of protein at each meal. I could never do the Atkins. A lot of times I do skip breakfast and am fine though but lunch and dinner are a must and like I say carbs and protein and both of these.
I would check with a doctor just to make sure it isn't anything. I would think that if it is anything it probably isn't your vision but something else. If you aren't eating right(I know it stinks) try to start until you go to the doctor at least and see if it helps.
