I have heard on this forum of many accidents that have happend so you are definately not alone in feeling guilty or sad or anything else...It truly is unfortunate that these accidents have happend but we all have the best intentions for our babies and that is what counts. For us, dh accidentally ran over our favorite cat..it was a terrible accident and we cried and had to deal with this quickly for she broke her back and there was nothing to be done about it but ease her pain immediately. Accidents happen and we learn from them and remember how these animals have touched our lives. I still dream of her at night and feel like she visits me. I feel like she wasn't ready to die...and hope she comes back to us one day..
