I am so very excited about the Tradmill! Any time I get on the treadmill they just hop on and wait for me to turn it on. When I was training them I would sit down beside the treadmill on the floor, turn it on as slow as I could make it operate, and support them with one hand on each of their sides. It took three short training sessions before I was able to walk with them. The first few walks were taken with harnesses on both the kids but not the harnesses are not necessary. When I do use harnesses, though, I use the Silk Step-In's that I make.
I always walk with them, We do the Cesar's Way walk .... I am ALWAYS in front, and both Chattie and Peppy have their own self selected "spot" on the treadmill. I really need to get a rear view mirror because I keep my neck turned around so I can keep a constant eye on them.
btw.... Chattie is sitting on it now looking longingly at me.....Mom, get off YT and let's go for a WALK! |
