COPROPHAGY rears its ugly head !! That's the big word for pets who eat their poop....and you can find out a lot about it at this site:

Higgins did it for a short while but has outgrown it. He'll still pick it up and MOVE it to another spot, though, preferably under my bed so I won't see it.
