I have owned many dogs in my life and have never worried about leaving them at "sleep-away camp" as we call boarding facilities. Would I leave Higgins? NO WAY!!! Now, I WOULD leave him with my son. They have a little Chihuahua and we have taken care of her while they were away. If I had to go somewhere where I could not take Higgins, I know he would have a GREAT time at my son's. When my son and his bride were on their honeymoon for two weeks in September, we kept Princess. She sure didn't forget them!!! She was OVERJOYED to see them when they came home. HOWEVER, when they took her home, she went into a 3-4 day depression missing HIGGINS! They are coming to visit us this weekend and the dogs will be so THRILLED to see each other.....so cute to see. We have made arrangements with our son that if anything should happen to us, they will take Higgins, and likewise, if anything happens to them, we will take Princess.

I predict your Yorkie baby will have a WONDERFUL time at Grandma's house. Grandmas are great at spoiling little ones. It may set her housetraining back a little.....OR.....it may speed it up......Grandmas are great trainers!

Enjoy your vacation and try not to worry!
