Sorry - but these things don't "just happen." And, if we aren't breeding or showing - these little dogs should be spayed. (And - your boyfriend's dog should probably have been neutered.....)

**** I think it's sad when our little pets have to go through these pregnancies (sometimes to completion with dire consequences) or have to have surgery -- which can also be very dangerous --- because we didn't get them spayed or really didn't keep a careful eye on them when they were in heat.

Especially these tiny little Yorkies -- so much more so than any other breed.

Yes - I definitely think a consultation with a vet is in order.

Let us know what your vet says ---

I agree w/ Carol Jean- if you aren't breeding your dog, do the responsible thing and have her fixed. These "accidents" aren't worth it. The surgery gives them a healthier outlook later down the road also.
