 Refuses to "go"!!!
We just got our 5 month old Yorkie, Brutus, on Tuesday evening. We got him from a pet store where he's been in a kennel all his life and has been able to relieve himself whenever he wants. I really want to train him to go outside. We keep him in a crate over night and when we are gone during the day. I take him outside first thing when I get up in the morning, when I come home for lunch during the day, and when I get home from work in the evening. The problem is that he is so excited to be outside that he won't relieve himself while out there!! I'm really clueless as to what I can do to make him realize he needs to go while outside. I even kept him outside for an hour last night and he never went!! Any ideas?? Please help!!! |
