I once read that you can blow gently at their nose - I think it is essentially the same as covering it - not sure. It works for the most part.
But the method that tends to work for me is to distract my yorkie by pretending that I heard a noise or saw something surprising. If I do that, he'll immediately stop and control his breathing to check what it is that got my attention. |
