Yes we have decided to only buy from someone in driving distance! We want to be able to visit where the puppies live. We figure anyone shipping pups could steal pics off a website. In fact, a friend of ours drive 4hrs 1-way to pick up his bulldog pup, but the family said they lived out in the boondocks so they wanted to meet him in town instead of him trying to find their house. He'd already paid the deposit based on web pics. When he got there, the pups were covered in fleas, didn't have the papers and vet records promised, and it didn't look anything like a bulldog! He felt so bad for it, that he took the puppy anyway. It ended up being emaciated from fleas, under weight from worms, and had a heart murmur. She's doing quite well now btw. Lesson learned! We are making a house call! |
