Myla's mom - I definately sympathize with you. We had to find our Old English Sheepdog a new home about 2 months ago and it broke my heart. He was a good boy (only 1 year), but dominant and my 6 year old would never be firm no matter what we did. Well, it only took one time with me running upstairs to get something and leaving him alone in the kitchen. He bit my son in the face which resulted in stitches. It would be impossible to try to keep the child and the dog always separated because that wouldn't really be fair to anyone. We went through a rescue org. to find him a new home and he's doing great now! Sorry, I'm babbling - but that's actually how we ended up with our little Tristan. My breeder felt so horrible about what happened she wanted us to have Tristan. (What a combination, she breeds Yorkies and Sheepies!!) Good luck with whatever your decision is!
