Mike - I think your story is great. I'm sure I'm not original in shoveling snow down to the grass, so no need to credit me. Our back yard is lined with flower beds edged in the decorative bricks. Sissy loves to walk along those, so I try to keep them shoveled off, too. That is easy to do only if we don't get more than a couple inches of snow and that melts before the next snowfall (not normally what happens). She will even choose to potty on the bricks rather than touch down to the cold, frozen grass - especially at 5:15am!! I don't have any winter photos cause we don't stay out long enough to get any - but here is a photo of her on the bricks just a few days ago.

Sissy came to me in early November. MANY times at 5:15am during the winter as we were outside for her pottying, I thought just how crazy I was to get her when I did. But since I still go oustide with her for every potty and probably will continue to do so, I guess it really doesn't matter when you get your baby!!
