Plus, he's turning into a little porker. He weighed 9.2 pounds at the vet yesterday. He was 8.6 in April. Amazingly, the vet says he is NOT fat. He felt his ribs and said they felt fine. He says he has great muscle tone in his legs and back. And, then, almost as an afterthought, he said: "Well, if anything, he could lose about a half pound."
I gotta figure out how to get him back down to 8.6. It's been difficult with 3 dogs running around the house (we've got Sophia permanently while her mom recovers from a broken leg). We don't crate them and they refuse to use individual bowls. |

I don't think I know any other pup that gets the exercise Eddie gets! Is he getting high calorie treats? You may want to look at carrots or something low cal for treating.
I have to feed my girls in separate rooms and only twice a day. If I free feed, Dreama would weigh 20 pounds!! She is a mega chow hound. I don't know how you feed, but sometimes free feeding can plump a pup, depending on their eating habits.
Eddie's not fat though... we have had the "waistline" talk before, I think! Don't fret, just keep an eye on him. I think as long as he is running around as much as he does, he will be just fine, Mike!
Give that boy some hugs from Aunti G!
