When we got Lola, she also had a soft spot. The vet told us that it may never close all the way and it hasn't yet. We are conscious of her soft spot and we worry, but there are plenty of dogs that have the same problem and live normal lives. Just be careful around your baby. I wouldn't trade my Lola for anything, even though she is not perfect medically.
