bleach is perfectly find to use on dog bowl, toys, crates, floors, anything around the dog. what do you think shelters and vet's offices use? i've worked at both and we always use some quantity of bleach. at the vets office we used a mixture of bleach and simple green plus water. at the shelter straight bleach was poured on kennel floors and mopped up. Bleach was used on all bowls. I've never had an animal, big or small, young or old, react to the bleach we used and i've used it ALOT.
