Default Underbite & Open Fontanel

Morning all,

I am a proud owner of a 11 month old baby yorkie who's name is Dylan. We feel absolutely in love with him and so we dediced we wanted to get a female.

I recently purchased my female for $1000 from a breeder who seems very responsible, caring and honest. Once I got the puppy home and took her to the vet I found out she has a underbite and she has a small soft spot on the top of her head. The vet informed me that the soft spot could cause problems down the road.

The breeder her sold her to me cause she was not going to be able to breed her cause she was so small. She was a preemie at birth. She weighs about 1.6 lbs at 14 weeks. I called the breeder after finding out this information from my vet and she said she was not aware of these problems. Both the dam and sire are fine and don't have these issues. She gave me a 1 year heath guarantee but I am struggling with giving the puppy back. I am now attached to her but I am nervous of more problems down the road.

I would appreciate any advice from all you out there that have more experience than myself, including other breeders. I believe this woman is being honest with me and I wish I would have waited to have her take the puppy to the vet before me picking her up. I guess I didn't realize the puppy had not yet been to the vet since she has some of her vaccinations.

HELP! I love my puppies.
Jen
