Well, I can not help you then...sorry. I do know the rules about taking him INTO the country (Canada). If he is a pet, which he is, then all he needs is to be up-to-date on all his shots. And, since the only shot that Ontario requires you to get for your dog BY LAW is Rabies...then that is all he needs to cross the border.
I think it would be beter if you found a sitter for the long weekend, especially if you are shopping, some places might not allow him to even go in. And you won't want to chance crossing with your baby if you don't have to. Just my opinion
