When I chose Kiki, the breeder (who spends a ton of time socializing her dogs) sd. that she was the most calm and loving one. But by the time she was old enough to come home with me, the breeder was like, "UUUUUH, she's pretty much running the litter, now!"
"Alpha dog" here, for SURE!!!! Around our house we also have a HUGE lab, a crotchity old grouchy cat, and her ten month old adopted yorkie sister. And Kiki RULES THE ROOST!
She just.can't.STAND. to see someone with something, be it bone, toy, snack....she's just BESIDE herself until she takes it away, even when she has her own right in front of her. BRAT!!!
She takes her wrestling VERY seriously..."Baby Taz" is one of her nicknames, if that tells you anything!
She sounds like a terror, but she just THINKS she's one.
The other critters indulge her only so far, and then they put their paws down.
I AM hoping that she settles down a biiiit more with age. Right now she doesn't like to snuggle with us very much, b/c she thinks she'll be missing some action somewhere.
My favorite time with her is our morning cuddles when she first wakes up...THEN she'll just lay there and be my sweet baby for awhile!
