I am facing the same issue with Roxy. The Vet says her LR in both rear legs is a Grade 2 maybe 3. She shows NO SIGNS of pain. Roxy has very short legs and she is fearful, so she doesn't jump, or go up and down stairs. I have a ramp for the couch or if I make a 'pillow' ramp she will use that too!

However, everythime you pick her up you can feel 'it' slip on both sides and she constantly does the 'skipping thing' when she is walking (to make 'it' go back into place on her own). BUT, NO SIGNS OF PAIN - EVER!

I have an appt. tomorrow with the specialist. I will not run into surgery either for her, b/c she appears to be in No Pain. BUT, if he feels she is or will be hurting soon, well then we will go from there. Money won't be a issue either, b/c she is our baby and we will find the money somehow if it is needed.

Best of Luck and i will let you know what happens tomorrow!
