Years ago we moved into a new house (new to house, but it was an older home). Anyway, it had been well maintained, and we had all the carpets and flooring replaced BEFORE we moved in. We moved in in the late fall. Well, come spring I was doing battle with fleas and ticks like you would not believe. We could not win. Finally, someone told me that we probably had them in the house

We called around and found an exterminator who guaranteed against fleas, went away for the weekend (even though they told us the products they used were safe...don't know if any are actually safe). We repeated this 3 times (for the guarantee). No more fleas!
