I have heard that some people let the hair on the tip of the penis grow a little longer instead of shaving it off and it tends to direct the pee downward so they don't pee on themselves. It's worth a try. (I would still do the regular cut around the genital area, but just keep some long (up to maybe 1/2 inch?) on the tip.
