Default TeeJay is back from the vet and...

he's been diagnosed with luxating patella in both knees . The surgery is going to cost $1200.... per knee! I need your advice YT! His vet said that surgery isnt imminent if he's not in pain. His vet felt around his knee cap and he didnt try to move or struggle so she said he's definitely NOT in pain. He's been prescribed some supplements that will reduce his risk of getting arthritis and he has an appointment with an orthopedist to get some X-rays. His knee only "pop" intermittently, mostly during a quick pace. He's also very athletic and can jump VERY high. He's a year and a month old and he's at 4 lbs exactly right now. What you YOU do if you were in my position? Would you go ahead with the surgery or just let him be? I'm really paranoid about putting my baby under anesthesia. You should've seen me when he had to get neutered; I nearly had an panic attack! Money isnt an issue, I just dont want my little baby to go through unnecessary pain if he doesnt really need the surgery. Thanks in advance guys!
