As for the biting, I am not sure why the dog bit the horse which is what needs to be found out before everyone jumps the gun and starts critizing maytepup and saying they are bad owners with a horrible dog. No one has the right to say she/he is a horrible owner with a aggressive dog, you were not there, you do not know the situation and you do not know what that temperaments of the dog and horse were like. When I seen the yorkie that bit my cousins horse, she bit it because the horse was grooming the dog, which to a horse is natural and does not hurt whereas the dog was scared and got hurt so naturally reacted by biting the horse. Was it aggressive? No, the dog and the horse were best friends, it was just a bad situation. I don't know why tmaytepup's dog bit this horse, a number of things could have caused it to react that way. What needs to happen is to find out why the dog did this, numberous things could count for it, once you have that figured out, then you bring in a dog behavior specialist to help. The dog may be aggressive or may not be, no one here can jugde that. All I am saying is that maytepup came here for advice and people instead insulted her/him and called them a liar and said the dog was aggressive. There was no need for that whatsoever. Isn't it you are innocent until proven guilty, or have we become you are guilty until proven innocent??
I thought YT was a friendly place where people help others out and come for advice, not a place where you are ridiculed and injustifully judged. After all, if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all!!
By the way, this thread is alot friendlier than the other two(which were horrible and I am glad the admistrator locked it), which is the way it should be. | Okay, I missed it. What advise were they seeking? No one said the dog was aggressive until maytepup said that they had to muzzle the dog for the aggressive behavior. After that it was just repeated. I really think the dog needs training no matter what the reason for bitting. JMOH
