How big is the crate she is staying in?? The crate should only be big enough for her to stand up, turn around, and lay down. If her crate is bigger than this, you need to put a box or something solid like that in the back of the crate to make it smaller. As she grows, you can gradually increase the size of the crate. Yorkies will not go to the bathroom where they sleep. The crate is probably big enough for her to go potty in one corner and lay down and sleep in another corder. Try making the crate smaller (remember only big enough for her to stand up, turn around, and lay down) and let us know if that works. You can put a CLEAN towel in there with her once you make the crate small. You don't want her to be able to smell the pee on a dirty towel. Otherwise, it seems as if your doing everything else correctly! |
