Thank you for your kind words everyone, I've been browsing this part of the forums for quite some time, and I'm so happy that I got the strength today to post about Buddy. You are all so nice, much nicer than any other forum I have been to. On a different forum there are little groups of people and they don't care about anybody else..
Patti, it's great to hear that you live in California too! Male or Female is just fine, but I do have a little bit of an age preferance, my family doesn't want to go through the loss of another dog in the next 7 or 8 years, It might sound a little cold hearted but that is what we have decided. My top doggie age is 5 years to be honest. We are not going to be 'serious business' until June 22nd because that is when my mom is off work and we will have time for the new dog and to comfort him/her in his/her new surroundings. So for now, we're just sort of looking but my bet is that any dog up for adoption now will probably still be around by June 22nd
I have actually found a few pups I'm interested in, one being Rainy's pup Parker, see here:

Another that is a yorkie/shih tzu mix that is not *technically* adopted, she's at a home where she might be adopted for a 2 week stay to make sure everything's okay (they told me this in an email) if you wan to see Ashley here's the link:

And last but not least, Marley is a cute little guy on a rescue that I've been watching for awhile. (If anyone's looking for an older yorkie Tony is handsome !) You can see him here:

Note: You may have to scroll down a bit before you can see him!
