Cooper was neutered last Thursday. I got to pick him up on Thursday afternoon. He was awake, but kinda "out of it" when we picked him up. His eyes had a glazed over look, but he was excited to see us. They gave us 5 pain pills to give him..for pain and to keep him sedated, as he was not supposed to jump or get excited. We gave him one that evening with his dinner (which he ate just fine) and he slept most of the evening. He would wake up and kind of pace around, not himself at all...we felt so bad for him. Then the next morning, he was back to his normal self. I didn't give him anymore pills, as he didn't seem to be in any pain and they made him so dopey...I think the pills made him feel bad. Cooper's stitches were just on the inside, so we don't have stitches that can be seen, just a small little red line, and then his little ball sack was super swollen and red the first day...but then went way down the next day and was just bruised looking. I had bought him a onesie (like babies wear) just in case he wanted to lick at the area, but he didn't do that. Cooper was also microchipped and that area didn't seem to be sore at all, and it is just the tiniest little bump.
