Dear Teri, Thanks again for sharing The details of what happened to your little Boogie. Artie has lymphangiectasia and irritable bowel disease so he couldn't metabolize his food very well.When he was well he was very thin and wound up emaciated. We never had the problems of fluid accumulation until last week when his protien got so low that he developed pulmonary edema(fluid in his lungs). Our vet also has one other dog a yorkie/poodle mix that has the disease but I am pretty sure it is rare.My mom tried very hard and I know about the expense I think about $6000 total. I know time will help us both and I appreciate your honesty and help. Thanks again, Mary |
