I am SO happy to hear that your girls did well during spaying. It is so necessary for us to continue having them spayed but I will be on pins and needles from now on. After Marlee, I will look at even the most minor of administration of anes differently...
I always give my babies scrambled eggs when they have had surgery. A little BeneBac (always after stress and antibiotics) or acidophilus and make sure they have water. I give my post-op babies crushed ice...that is something they will always take.
I am a retired RN and I treat my Yorkies and Biewers just as we did humans...oh, and try to keep her from jumping or climbing and make sure her temp is normal. Sometimes, a tiny one cannot maintain body temp at between 100-102 and that is important.
Okay, I know your vet told you all of these things but, I am sharing what MY vet and I have worked out as our post op routine...
