I took Chanel to the groomer from when she was little and she is now 3 and I can honestly say not one of them cut her properly but you're at their mercy...Even with WRITTEN directions - they either didn't do something or they did too much - so good luck !! I do both my girls myself now...
The main things are ...EARS TIPPED....the hair inside the ears plucked...Trimming under the eyes...Feet shaped...a sanitary trim..male or female - the groomer will know - and their little butts done.
I have a small Wahl trimmer and I very carefully trim under the eyes for both of mine - like where the tear stains would be if they had them....you don't want too much trimmed because you want the hair on their face to grow and it will stick into their eyes if too much is cut there..
My younger yorkie - Cheri, is a puppy...I worried about how she'd be with ME doing this - and she was fine - all I do is her eyes and butt...so I don't go to the groomer anymore !! YAY ! |
