I know this is going to be great once I get the basics of using explorer but oh my in the mean time I really feel like it is beyond my reach in getting going with it.
Hmm, not sure what you mean. Copy and paste should be the same in Netscape and Explorer. The easiest way is just highlight text and hit control C to copy, then control v to paste. To delete, highlight and hit delete key.

I have a feeling that's not what you're asking. Sorry.
