New Baby Hello!
I got my first Yorkie today. She is 10 weeks old and her name is Mia. She seems to be adjusting well to her new environment, and right now she is sleeping in her crate. About 10 minutes ago she was breathing audibly while sleeping, so I took her out of her crate and pet her for a while. Then she started hiccuping but did not vomit. She walked around a bit, played with her plastic bone. Then I put her back in her crate and she went right back to sleep. But now I am a little worried about her because she is a tiny little baby. While Its nice that she isn't barking or whining about being in the crate, it seems suspicious that she fell asleep right away. I will wake up every three hours to check on her and to put her in the potty area (her crate is in our bedroom), but I wanted to ask if anyone knows of some things I should watch out for? Since its our first day together, and because I did not have a Yorkie before, I don't know what normal and abnormal behavior would be. I would appreciate any advice.
Oh, and the breeder gave us some medicine to help ease her stress level (it starts with an "a" but I forgot its name). Mia already had one dose of that today.
