The Apple Bitter sounds like a wonderful idea.

I am so sorry Mocha is behaving this way. Not sure where you stand financially but have you thought maybe about a professional personal dog trainer. A one on one? Maybe this will help?

I can understand how it would be hard to bond with a pup that acts in this manner and I pray Mocha grows out of this.

Hang in there and don't give up. Maybe only and really I mean "only" give him attention when he is doing good. Once he acts up completley ignore him and walk away, don't even give him eye contact.
