I would have a healthy puppy from to start and know the parents health.
My shi and yorkie were both free and they are very healthy. My sister gave me a yorkie baby to love when she had a litter because she knew I have always wanted one and that I am to much of a tightwad to spend more than $350 for a dog when there are so many in shelters needing a good home. My shi-tuz came from a shelter that I worked at and was sceduled for euth because we were out of room. Just because a dog is free dosn't mean it is unhealthy.
Regards,
