I had 3 other yorkies all with varying dgrees of collapsed trachea's 2 lived to almost 13 with no complications other than honking on excitement. My gracie tied at 6 1/2 from comlicatins of collapsed trachea. Her 's was sevre and contributing factors are we use to put her on a tie out with a collar and she would chase a soccer ball until she reached the end of the tie out. In hindsight I believe taht contributed to her problem. The only advice i have and you probably already know this is never put pressure on her neck via collar etc. and keep her weight down. being overweight contributes to both the trachea and the leg problems. Hopefully she will do fien and live a long healthy life.
