I know there have been threads before, but Sissy just came from the vet where I asked about microchipping. Our vet's office does not offer it as a service because there are three different companies offering chipping who all use different scanners. The vet said that unless your baby is picked up by a facility that uses the same scanning equipment as your chip that it won't make a difference.

She said all her babies are tatooed on the inner thigh, with a national registry and this is what she recommends. However, they have to be anesthetized for this.

Sissy has an extra baby tooth still on the bottom (with the adult tooth as well). If it doesn't fall out on its own within the next month, it will have to be extracted and she will be under anesthesia for that. I think if this occurs I will have her tatooed also.

Any other opinions on this??
