they can be sooo sweet!! the one big thing i learned was that you need to be experienced and informed when raising one! my parrots behavior was to the point we couldn't keep him happy because he only let me handle him and was very upset when other people came near. he now lives with a woman who loves him to death and where is surrounded by other parrots! you are so lucky to have a macaw, they are sooo gorgeous!!!
