Default I love to be greeted!

I know I have heard that you should not get all excited when you arrive home or when someone comes to visit in order to prevent the dog from getting excited too and jumping up and down and all. I would really miss the "over the top" reunion if I did that.

I have to think of a way to train them so they are still just as exited, but have manners and don't jump or bark or misbehave. Has anyone come up with a way to get the "in between" behavior?

I also think itmight be too much to expect a 4 month old puppy to not be excited about greeting someone new to the house, but maybe not. Part of their "training" at this stage is still socialization and exposing them to new people, new environments and new dogs is important.

I am sure your puppies will figure out what you want and start behaving properly real soon.
