I sent them an e-mail before I finally decided to buy one asking the difference in the regular pin brush and the gold seried. they responded saying the gold series was more for delicate coats. the pins "give" easier making it less likely to damage the coat. the difference in the number that is attached to the name of the brush is the pin length. I measured the pins in the brush I had been using and it was the same as the 20 MM gold series. that is the one i bought. I pondered for a long long time trying to justify the cost of that brush. I am really glad that I bought it. thanks to the reviews on this forum I was talked into it. another thing about those brushes is that when i brush them they are getting more of a massage than a skin scraping.
I am trying now to justify paying for the comb. LOL
