Yes the needle is big - I had my little guy done while he was getting fixed so he could not feel it. They are a bit sore in that spot for a while so just be easy with them the first few days. Good luck and it is so worth it. My parents found a Great Pyranese the other day and took it to thier vet and had her scanned and found the owners - it was a sweet reunion.
