I honestly ;have tried everything I can imigine. I've crated her--and covered the crate on our last long trip. Put her in the car seat where she can look out----put her in front with me on a pillow and connected her leash to the seat belt. I can't let her free, as she jumped in the wheel and got tangled and almost caused a wreck. She gets so excited and whining and yelping and jumping and scratching--I can't believe it. One funny thing, when we go to my daughter's house, she does the above all the way out there, but when we come home, she is good---don't know if it is because she is exhausted (they have 2 boys and 2 dogs) or if she knows we are going home.
Biddy's mom! Isn't it frustrating? The only thing I haven't tried is sitting with her and not going anywhere. But, she usually doesn't do it until we are under way. However, if my husband leaves the car and I am sitting with her, she pants and whines all the time also. I am just at my wit's end!
