I would say go ahead and get the third one...then, get another, if you have room, then another, and another.......

My daughter has 6 permanent residents. Occasionally we have a litter from one of the females. We seem always to have room for more. After the pups are sold, we baby sit for some of the new mamas. We also have them come over to visit. Some times we have "strangers" come and visit. It takes a few minutes, but pretty quick they all seem to get along. (Of course we only have one stud, who needs to be locked up when the strangers are here, but he doesn't really care! He likes his privacy.) I do think that getting them socialized at a young age is important in having them get along later in life. Ours are all jealous to a certain extent, but they also love each other a lot, so it works out.
