Chel! thank you so much for replying to this post! As you can see I've been replying in yours too

Just got a confirmation from my vet today (who by the way is the absolute best, didn't charge me for confirming what I already suspected, thanks in large part from everyone at Yorkietalk for giving me helpful advice about LP) that she has LP in her left knee and believed it to be a grade two, but only the ortho surgeon can confirm such when she gets her xrays on Thursday.
I have VPI insurance too and I called to ask about LP coverage and they basically spat out "no way no LP" so that's a huge bummer! I'm hoping we can hold off on the surgery for a season (I'd hate for her to be cooped up when it's so beatiful in CO in the Summer). My vet said she'd probably recommend not waiting that long, but since Lea doesn't appear to be in any pain, she thinks the ortho surgeon will have better advice.
