This is really weird but Napoleon at 3months old used to bark a lot when I left him in his crate in the kitchen at night. Then I took his crate into my room to sleep next to me, and he stopped barking. At 5 months old, I decided to leave him in an x-pen to sleep by himself in dining room. Still no barking. He would whine a bit if he needs my attention, but rarely would he bark. Once in a great while when he gets excited, he gives a sharp bark, I would say NO! and he stops. For the most part, I wonder if he's forgotten how to bark LOL. I'm definitely liking this much better!
