Bully sticks may be a good idea but I know Tinka has eaten them and some of them get long strings on them and I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't been home to cut them off. So, just be careful!

Like it was mentioned, maybe he stops barking right after you leave. Maybe he is just playing on your sympathies! They are smart enough to do that!
