Yup clicking is much easier than shouting good boy / girl! But juggling treats and clicker can sometimes be a little tricky. My yorkies' little faces light up whenever the clicker comes out. I'm trying "shaping" a behavior for the first time rather than "luring". With shaping Dixie's the one who's doing all the brain work trying to figure out what's expected rather than just following the treat or my hand. You can get the trick or behaviour down much more consistently through shaping. Yay for clicking!

Makes perfect sense. I've been promising myself I'd try clicker training for a long time but have never gotten around to it. I've never heard anyone who uses clickers say they didn't like 'em.
