That seller is whacked. Mrs Beasley needs a new string...she didn't need batteries. There weren't many battery operated toys back in the day....you push the cars with YOUR hands...you pulled the string to get them to talk. I had one doll that walked that needed batteries....the rest open and shut their eyes because they had little eye axile thingys...and she pee'd cause there was a hole between her legs and a gape at her neck where the bath water got inside....she really wasn't supposed to pee...it was a drain hole.
