I don't think trace amounts would do any harm.... I wouldn't pull it out of the machine when it's in the middle of the wash cycle or anything, but if it's been rinsed well I wouldn't worry about it.
If it was dangerous, I'm sure (and really hope!) my mother wouldn't have used that darn bar of soap to wash the dirty words right out my mouth when I was little! My siblings and I have eaten our fair share of soap (liquid and bar alike!) and we're all still around!
