I am so sorry you are having this problem, it would be horrible for me... Try to continue to reassure Pepper that he is number 1 dog.... I found that my Tinker reacted badly when we got Tootie, but I made sure to reassure her that she is the PRINCESS and eventually she got better! She did get her personality back but still keeps a distance from Tootie.d
