Hey!

My 8 month old baby just got diagnosed with luxating patella this past sunday (2 days ago). I was heart broken and then I started doing research and asking a bunch of questions. I'll try to help. How old is your pup and does she limp when she walks?

- Is my baby in pain right now?
yes, if she is limping that is why the vet gives us pain meds.

- Is this surgery helpful and not give her problems in the future?
supposedly, if we do not proceed with the surgery they will develop arthritis and cause them more pain in the future - do not worry! This is a common surgery and alot of small breeds have this.

- What price range should I be looking at for the operation?
$1000.00 - 2500.00 - how old is your baby? the pert store we bought my zoe from is paying for the surgery.

- Anything I can do to help her pre-op and post-op?
pre-op- restrain from active activity, continue with pain meds.
post -op - I do not know yet since I have not yet schedule my surgery. I would guess lot of love.
