I fostered a rescue Yorkie for a while before he could find his forever home. Tigger was older, about 10 years old when he was found wandering around the city. Then, when he was brought to me, he was completely unsocialized and had many bad habits. He was not potty trained and would mark everywhere. He would also need to be hand fed or wold not eat. He didn't like people and would snarl and nip. He also had problems with his teeth and had to have 6 pulled, along with neuter. After about 4 months of constant loving and care, Tigger got to be more of a people person, but would still mark everywhere. It's a lot of work, with some vet bills, so be prepared. I wasn't prepared but learned along the way. After Tigger went to his forever home, I've visited a couple of times and he seems happy and healthy. I will always cherish and remember this experience where I made a difference in a little life.
