Yes, thanks for the warning! We have had several scares on different forums. One dog ate white chocolate and we learned that this kind is not deadly. The deadliest is dark chocolate and just one ounce per lb of weight can kill a dog. So a two lb yorkie can die from eating a relatively small piece of candy.
Milk chocolate just takes more to have an effect but it's still dangerous.
Unfortunately I love dark Chocolate!!!
It's also important not to feed your dogs "chocolate flavored treats or foods because it will make them crave the chocolate and try to get to it when it might not otherwise. |
